We're an Agricultural Cooperative
Bees Knees Apiary is structured as an agricultural cooperative — which means our mission extends beyond any single removal job. Every colony we rescue becomes part of a larger network of beekeepers, farmers, and conservation partners working together to protect pollinators across Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas.
Where the Bees Go
Every colony we remove alive is relocated — either to our own managed apiary or to one of our partner farms and beekeepers. We don't just release them into the wild. We place them in managed environments where they can thrive, pollinate crops, and contribute to local food production.
Our partner farmers get free or low-cost pollination services. Our partner beekeepers get established colonies. The bees get a second chance. Everyone wins.
Our Conservation Partners
We work with regional honeybee organizations to fund research into Colony Collapse Disorder, varroa mite treatment, and habitat restoration. A portion of every removal job supports these initiatives directly.
Why It Matters
The USDA estimates that honeybees contribute over $15 billion in value to U.S. crops annually. Without pollinators, the food system collapses. Every colony we save is a direct investment in the food supply — for our community and for future generations.
